Welcome to RefugeGamer.com!
When we started Refuge Gamer in January 2008, we wanted to create a community based on the enjoyment of good gaming and good company. We wanted to create a place where people like yourself could come after a hard day of work or school, sit down in your favorite chair, kick it up and play the games you love. Furthermore, we wanted to provide our fellow gamers with a chance to enjoy yourselves without having to worry about game spoilers such as: hackers, unfair/juvenile admins, or that guy on the microphone who always calls you “Noob”. Although these things sometimes happen, we do our best to make sure they don't.

Happy Birthday Refuge Gamer
I am happy to say, Happy Birthday Refuge! That’s right we are 1 year old today. So on behalf I would like to take a moment of your time to say a few things I usually don’t get the chance to voice.
One year to the day, Ymam and I put together and acted on a crazy idea to start a gaming community. We had worked together in a previous community and became friends very quickly, and since have only grown even closer. The first step, and really the most difficult, was we needed a name. (Oh how we pondered) Eventually Ymam came up with “Refuge”. Made perfect since because that’s what we were trying to find! After that, the ball was in-play.
We were lucky to have some close friends that chose the same option as us, and soon we had a small foundation of a great community. After A lot of hard work on servers, forums, meetings, and countless early mornings, we began to grow, and here we are today. People told us that Refuge would not last 2 months before we had to shut it down. To that I “LOL”, here we stand a...
