503 Service Unavailable means there was a temporary issue with the server and it was unavailable to accept your request. Do you still get the message now or was it a one-time sort of thing? For the Socket Error During Headers error - unfortunately we've been trying to figure out what's causing this since August 2008. We're still investigating the issue as of now. If you'd like to help, we'd appreciate it if you posted some of the following details surrounding this issue. First, please use our Gaming Rig feature to upload some current system specs for us. (don't type them... use the link or we won’t get all the data we need) If you have previously uploaded a Game Rig, please do it again. We want the most up to date info possible when troubleshooting your issue. Does this happen every time you try to upload videos, or just with a certain video? Which game did you record? How big is the video file? (it should be initially saved as a .avi in your Xfire\Videos folder. Has Xfire converted the file to a .mp4 yet? (it will also be in your Xfire\Videos folder) Which category (or categories) is this video listed under on your Xfire's Video tab? (i.e. Source Videos?, Encoded Videos?, Remote Videos?) Can you upload it from there by right clicking it and selecting 'Upload Video'? Our screenshot and video uploads use a simple HTTP request on port 80. A socket error points to something like a router or firewall preventing those messages from being sent/received. Again, we're still looking into this particular error, but if you can provide any other details about your specific case it may help us. Do you have any firewalls or security software that could be blocking the file transmission? If you could email us the exact screenshots or videos that are giving you this error it might help us solve this issue once and for all. Please email them (if you still have them or can reproduce the issue) to support@xfire.com with a link to this thread. Also, make the subject line of your email 'SOCKET ERROR DURING HEADERS'. Thanks so much! _______________ |
